How to Sneak Coffee Into a Library

DISCLAIMER: this post is not for those who intend to wildly splash their coffee on books in the library, or leave crumbs all over tables that are supposed to be used by others.

This post IS for people like myself, who are coffee-addicts, and need the caffeine to stay awake and really just need to study. I'm talking about those days when you walk alllll the way to the library from your apartment, only to realize you left your coffee thermos at home, and you're still running on only 4 hours of sleep. If this is you, this trick just may save your life, as it has mine ;)

Materials:
  • 1 delicious cup of coffee (or a latte, or tea, or an americano, whatever floats your boat)
  • 3 coffee lids (THREE, not two. You will not be happy if you only bring two)
  • A backpack with side pockets or a jacket (a coffee hiding place)
Directions:

  1. Buy your cup of much-needed coffee, and place the first lid like usual (make sure it snaps on!)
  2. Take another lid and snap it on top of the first, but with the sippy spout on the opposite side of the 1st lid. This will create a kind of seal/cap to prevent coffee from spilling on your way into the library.
  3. Place coffee in an inconspicuous location. Under a jacket, in one of the side pockets on your bag, etc.
  4. Find a seat (For Cal during finals? This is probably the hardest step..haha), and bring your coffee out of hiding.
  5. Remove the top two lids on your coffee, and replace with the last lid. Separating the two lids from each other is difficult/messy/annoying, which is why the 3rd lid is necessary.
It's not rocket science, but pretty smart if you ask me.
